We also offer services in sewing custom made cloths, woodwork, statue and metalware refurbishment. Many of our products, including candles, churchware and furniture, altar linen and vestments, works of art and greeting cards, are sourced from Australian manufacturers and artisans.

An answer to prayer…from a “Team’s of our Lady” Prayer Group in 1988, Rolet and Ann de Castella came to take over retiring Otto Nechwetal’s Melbourne Central, Little Elizabeth Street store, relocating to Hawthorn and renaming their family business, Southern Cross Church Supplies Pty Ltd.
Southern Cross Church Supplies has been serving the clergy and general public of Melbourne and beyond since then with many long serving staff members and enduring relationships with our customers, suppliers and the many good causes we support.
Always a friendly place to visit, staff exercise Christian love and compassion, going the extra mile to assist customers with products and services to help grow the practise of Christian faith.
It is our policy possible to sell Australian made products. In some circumstances we also source unique products from the holy land, Italy, Ireland and America.
Ethically, we believe our enterprise has the opportunity to create jobs and give back to the community which gives additional purpose to our work.
Products are sourced from Monastic enterprises such as altar wine, charcoal and the Monastique skincare range from the Carmelite Monastery in Kew, and Benedictine Monks in Adelaide. Many items are made by small local craftspeople, Indigenous and international fairtrade markets.
Money from the sales of our Hosts, go back into the community helping youth employment programs after incarceration, drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. Our business aims to make a positive difference to the community through promoting faith and enterprise within and through Church groups who give back to the community.
We provide informed advice to our customers and can ship all over Australia and internationally.

The business also provides goods for commercial enterprises such as restaurants, wedding services, piety stalls, funeral parlours with candles and other supplies at trade prices.
Our bricks and mortar store is conveniently located in “central” Melbourne with car parking and warehouse access at the rear via Oxley Road.
