Family or communal sizes wafers all come with the divided lines to assist in breaking the bread into smaller pieces for the eucharist. Each box contains 25 wafers.
The large size allows for the bread to be broken into smaller, individual pieces to be shared among the congregation, symbolizing unity in Christ. Altar bread or eucharistic wafers in the family size are often used for more intimate smaller group mass services.
